Biography of Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson began his career in 1962 with an apprenticeship in Motor Mechanics at the Gas and Fuel Corporation of Victoria.
In 1966, he received a Certificate of Proficiency in Motor Mechanics and completed the Automotive Technicians course. That same year, he joined W. Fitzgerald & Sons, contributing to product development projects.
In 1968, Robert enrolled full-time in college to study Mechanical Engineering. During 1970, he completed six months of academic study followed by six months of practical experience at Steelweld, a crane manufacturing company. In 1971, he undertook a similar program—six months of study followed by six months of engineering work experience at Repco Engine Parts.
He graduated in 1973 with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Footscray Institute of Technology.
Between 1973 and 1976, Robert served as Project Engineer at the Repco Engine Technical Centre.
In 1976, he took on the role of Director at Neoteric Engineering Affiliates Pty. Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in the founding of Neoteric Inc. in the United States.
Since 1976, Robert has served as the Managing Director of Neoteric Engineering Affiliates Pty. Ltd., and also as Vice President of Engineering at Neoteric Hovercraft Inc. His role included numerous visits to the USA in support of international collaboration.
In 1984, he was invited to India to provide technical assistance to the Scientific Instrument Company on their Le’mare/Explorer project.
