Commercial Hovercraft Pilot Training: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

In Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, Jean Paul Delahaut (front right) receives specialized training in commercial hovercraft operations from Hovercraft Pilot Training instructor Chris Fitzgerald (front left).

Training was conducted in a 100 HP six-passenger Neoteric Hovertrek and took place on the Atlantic Ocean in order to prepare Delahaut for operating the hovercraft in varying water conditions.

Delahaut, originally from Belgium, is launching a new business that will offer hovercraft passenger tours along the shoreline of Punta Cana. The area is known for its beaches, which face both the Caribbean and the Atlantic, and has been a popular tourist destination since the 1970s.
