U.S. Air Force Hovercraft Pilot Training: Utah Test & Training Range, Hill Air Force Base

Neoteric Hovercraft conducts military hovercraft pilot training for U.S. Air Force first response personnel from the Hovercraft Unit of the Utah Test and Training Range at Hill Air Force Base.

Among the trainees is Capt. Cory Lingelbach (left), who used one of the base's Neoteric craft to rescue a downed F-16 pilot who crashed in 2006 on the Great Salt Lake mudflats, where no other rescue vehicle could travel.

Shown here is one of the Neoteric rescue hovercraft employed by UTTR awaiting launch on the Wabash River in Terre Haute, Indiana for training exercises. In the background, Neoteric President Chris Fitzgerald (in yellow vest), who has worked with UTTR since 2005, briefs Capt. Lingelbach, Lt. Jonathon Jimenez and Lt. Derek Martinez, all of Hill Air Force Base.
