Hi Tech International S.r.l., Italy, counterfeited the Neoteric Hovertrek™ to sell modified forgeries as Hoverescue Models 425 & 525 and Hoverguard Model 725. Industry-wide concern exists that HTI is threatening consumer safety by selling pirated hovercraft with documented mechanical problems while fraudulently claiming Neoteric's 40 years' experience. HTI has marketed their counterfeit hovercraft to rescue agencies such as Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service.
